Hi,
I have started playing around with my EWS64(S) and cubase VST and wasn't able to use any other instrument set but the first one loaded, no matter what I enter in the bank input field. A few years back, when I had an AWE32 I had to multiply the bank number by a factor of 128 to get this working with cubase. is there a similar trick for the EWS or am I missing something obvious?
thanks and sorry if that's an faq,
robert

I was afraid so. Since I bought a used card, I'm not so sure I got all the original CDs. I browsed the manuals I got for that information but didn't find it. Which manual are you referring to (title)? is it available for download at the terratec site?
thanks and sorry for this rtfm type of question

This is a really basic level EWS64 info, and I'm sorry if you knew this already, but are you aware that EWS64 bank management doesn't work the same way as AWE32 banks. That is, EWS64 bank slots are not directly related to a bank or variation number. Refer to EWS64 PDF manuals on setup CD.

Hi,
I think you should read the Articles page in our EWSoundZine at www.ews64.com. That explains all about the SetManager, Program Changes and Variations. Also you find information about priorities. If I remember correctly there is also information in the Cubase section of The Cool CuCake Forge about selecting variations from Cubase.
Good luck,
Arnoud.
